El acto clínico como espacio de producción de narrativas en tensión

En este trabajo analizo la manera en que la sociología y la antropología médica han estudiado la relación médico-paciente y a partir de ello propongo otra ruta analítica que, tomando en cuenta al actor social y la narrativa como forma de pensamiento, sensibilidad, discurso y praxis cultural, aborde dicha relación como un acto clínico que devela contextos de acción e interacción en que se producen intercambios verbales y no verbales. El acto clínico, así, es un hecho social sustancialmente narrativo, porque los intercambios entre diferentes actores sociales se generan produciendo narrativas complejas con tramas que los develan como narradores de una situación en tensión. Desde una etnografía reflexiva y relacional, en un centro de tercer nivel de atención ubicado en la Ciudad de México, presento una descripción y análisis que revela tramas narrativas que evidencian cómo la interacción médica interrumpe, desdibuja y silencia la voz del paciente en aras de su traducción biomédica.
