Abstract

In recent years, trans sex work on the streets in Mexico City visibility has increased. In this article, I think of trans sex work like a feminized job that illustrates the new turns sex industry has taken as a result of the economy globalizing processes. The aim is to show that trans matters provide with essential lessons about social, symbolic and material gender construction. In the first part, I describe what distinguishes sex work in four spots in Mexico City; then I talk about the “pigeons”, customers who like to be penetrated by a femme trans person; by the end I mention what I understand by boundaries and strains in trans sex work.
