Abstract

Much of the fight against Human Immunodeficiency Virus has focused on promoting changes in behavior among the homosexual community, which has the majority of cases. This work offers a review of preventive strategies, legal and moral coercion, as well as their failure. The foundations of the homoerotic canon are reviewed and the impact of antiretroviral drugs as an answer to stop the epidemic.
