Abstract

This article examines how the creation of a Jewish State in Israel and the subsequent Six- Day War had effects on Mexico’s perception of Israel’s Jewish population. On the basis of this, the author reviews diplomatic relations between Mexico and Israel and Arab countries. Jewish and Lebanese communities residing in Mexico played a crucial role in shaping the official position of the Mexican government.
