Abstract
With the Industrial Revolution and the rise of market economy-based systems, the agricultural sector underwent its greatest evolution. It went from being a means of family subsistence to becoming a business opportunity between nations. This transformation was accompanied by technological progress that caused serious damage to ecosystems. Ecological deterioration and the indiscriminate use of natural resources threaten human aspirations to build a sustainable development model. For this reason, an environmental anthropological paradigm is required that, within the environmental ethics, harmoniously articulates the relationship between man and nature.
