Born in Mexico City on April 8, 1943. Surgeon graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), is a specialist in psychiatry, has master's degree in Social Psychiatry (UNAM), master's degree in Pedagogy National Pedagogical University, has specialized in Awareness and Management Groups by the Mexican Institute of Sexology, Sexology masters in Education, Awareness and Management Groups, masters in Clinical Sexology, doctoral student in Psychological Research from the Universidad Iberoamericana. Mexican Board Certified Psychiatric and recertified in 1995 Member. Member of the Mexican Psychiatric Association. Educator and sex therapist certified by the Association of Sex-educators, Counsellors and Therapysts, Washington. Fellow of the Masters and Johnson Institute. Founding member of the Mexican Institute of Sexology (Imesex). Academic Director of the postgraduate and master's level specialization in Educational Sexology, academic director of postgraduate and master's level specialization in sexology Clínica.Miembro of the World Health Organization for Transgender People (WPATH). Editor-director of the Hispanic American journal Archives of Sexual Science, co-published by the Mexican Institute of Sexology, Faculty of Psychology, UNAM and the Mexican Society of Psychology. He was visiting professor at the Masters in Sex Education from the University of La Laguna, Tenerife, Spain. He has published seven books on sexology and sexuality, most recently Qualitative Research Methodology (Polity Press), and forthcoming professional education of sexuality, gender and school (Polity Press, Mexico). Over forty conceptual research on sexuality in general, sexual behavior and gender. Director of over forty research thesis.
