Abstract

Sex work in Mexico faces serious stigma, agression and violence problems from the mexican government and from some social groups. Simultaneously, women trafficking as a social issue, as a new way of slavery has increased importantly in the last two decades. This violence comes from past centuries. Therefore, knowledge of the past can contribute to the disclosure of thought, idea and action constructions that should not be repeated anymore for the sake of the construction of a democratic and fair society. This work pretends to show some background of the social treatment that has been given to sex work.
