Mecanismos fonológicos del albur mexicano

The article aims to provide a complete overview of those general phenomena, typical of the sounds of the Spanish language, which intervene in or favor the appearance of double meaning in the words and expressions of Mexican spoken Spanish. The number of phenomena is wide, ranging from sequences of repeated sounds to changes in their position, such as metatheses and transpositions. The contribution of this article is that each phenomenon is presented systematically and rigorously with the explanation of the pragmatic context that gives it the sexual connotation of the albur.
