Abstract

Results are presented from work on rock painting and petroglyphs in the municipality
of Unión de Tula, Jalisco, in the framework of the Rock Art Manifestations Recording Project in Corcovado’s high basin, Mexico. A series of sites that reflect an ideological corridor were located, with recurrent placement structured on a landscape cultural appropriation pattern, in which it is possible to observe a mosaic of influences that converge in a single cosmovision, based on a ritual reinterpretation of the landscape.
