Abstract

In this paper, Peter Harrison’s proposal concerning the Postclassic Lobil phase in southern Quintana Roo is examined. Here the results of excavations, carried out at various monumental structures in Dzibanché and at three Postclassic houses located around the Gann Plaza are presented. The materials from a large offering in the Small Acropolis are also described; likewise, an interpretation is given of the gods represented in the Chen Mul censers, which formed part of this offering.
