Abstract
The richness of San Luis Potosí’s monumental heritage has been highly appreciated by numerous architects and researchers interested in its conservation. The theme is so vast that this article is just a succinct homage to the presence of the Mexican National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) on it’s 80th year of existence. It briefly describes the background of the Potosinos interest in their monumental heritage since times previous to the inah’s foundation and during its existence; it comments the Monuments and Monument’s Zones Declarations, the catalogue’s work, the links and interplays amongst the inah’s Center in San Luis Potosí, the Historical Monuments National Coordination in Mexico City (CNMH) and other areas in the Institution.
