La narrativa histórica en "Patria"

Abstract

For Valdez, Patria centers on the liberals, tracing them from Ayutla to the restoration of the Republic. He values the interest of Taibo to describe the concerns of the pueblos and municipalities, but also considers the elites. He emphasizes the effectiveness of the author´s narrative which constructs uncertain, comic, and tragic human settings that influenced in the decisions of characters of Mexican history. A history that builds identity from another point of view.
