This commentary towards Florescano’s book, emphasizes the weight of imageries, on   different ages and places, for demolishing or reinventing the social functions of history. The importance of these had been diminished due to the continuous material and ideological changes of societies. That is why history and its functions are on a permanent chopping and changing.
