Abstract

It shows how the Nation Risorgimiento elites became a massive popular sentiment. The fractured mosaic of regions, cities and local identities, dominant along XXth Century, became a unified Italy. The author shows collective experiences, like the impact of World Wars and mass media, such as radio and advertising, among others, homologated perceptions and feelings.
