Las diferentes culturas y las culturas de la diferencia
Keywords:
Cultura, AntropologíaAbstract
From the Anthropology of Behavior's point ofview, the cultures ofdijference (per instance, «the gang» and «the gays» are, as any other culture, a plural response derivcd from a Ufe experience perspective. Behavior imperatives of inquisitivity, territoriality, aggressivity, and sexuality, as ivell as physiological imperatives are involved on these cultures. Therefore, even if we see these cultures like expressions ofclearly cut boundaries, as exceptions, or «deviations» of the culture ofa society, there are real cultures merged within it. These cultures aregroup manifestations of other ways of looking at society, other perspectives capable of generating survival dynamics. These cultures have the power to build up identities, shaping Ufe reference frameworks and the social dynamics they need. The above is because these groups have the need to struggle to be visible and to have a place in the overall society.
