Abstract

From a standpoint ofwhat visual historyought be, thisarticleanalyzes thedijferent series o/Historia gráfica which have appeared in México since the 1920s. It begins with those produced by the Casasola Archive, «Historiagráfica de la Revolución Mexicana» and «Seis siglos de historia gráfica de México.» It then proceeds to comment on the different series subsidized by the Mexican government during the 1980s and early 1990s: «Memoria y olvido,» «Así fue la Revolución Mexicana,» «Biografía del poder,» «Historia gráfica de México,» and «Veracruz: Imágenes de su historia.»
