Dos modelos en la explicación arqueológica: una visión desde el área maya

El trabajo explora el desarrollo prehispánico maya en términos de las influencias culturales foráneas recibidas. Para ello, el autor analiza el modelo difusionista y el modelo de desarrollo local. Contrasta las implicaciones que tiene cada modelo con la evidencia empírica del área de El Salvador y el sitio rector de Chichén Itzá.
