This article aims to analyze medical care as an intersubjective entity of the experience between patients and doctors, who concurrently have specialized and dissimilar knowledge. Narrative ethnography aids in the contextualization of the outpatient clinic of the Mental Health and Neurological Care Center (Cifanep). The situations that arise in situ are used to understand the conditions of interactions and to create a narrative production of each clinical encounter. An ethnographic record is made to follow a patient that attends several appointments to know her diagnosis and receive therapeutic intervention. Some scenes of the social interactions that emerge while in care are presented.
