Abstract

Interview with Alfredo López Austin, one of the most well known researchers of Mexican prehispanic past. Historian of the mythical thought in Middle America and attentive reader of symbolic representations that reveal the deep meanings of a culture, he has shown special interest in myths and rites, both cultural products that allow an approach to beliefs that, for centuries, determined deeds and destiny of men and women in Middle America.
