Abstract

This article is a critical reflection on Mexican museums, especially the National Museum of History. To illustrate this concern, the author contextualizes the historical development of this collection, restructured during the administration of Venustiano Carranza, in order to identify its importance as part of the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), as well as its significance in Mexican history.
