Fronteras internacionales y fronteras de género: experiencias de transfobia y transgresión en México

Resumen

El presente estudio busca visibilizar las experiencias de algunas migrantes centroamericanas transgénero, transexuales y travestis en México. Al explorar el significado que estas personas atribuyen a las fronteras internacionales y de género, se enfatizan diversas dimensiones de la transfobia como forma de violencia, identificando sus impactos en el contexto de la migración. Sin embargo, es importante no victimizarlas, considerando que muchas de ellas ven en su propio viaje una transgresión que alimenta sus luchas, y simboliza una reivindicación tanto de su identidad de género, como del derecho a ser quienes son, libres de miedo y persecución.
