La polémica Boas-Preuss reviste el mayor interés porque ocurrió en un momento clave para la historia de la antropología, y expresa el desenlace que tuvieron los estudios sobre mitología durante el resto del siglo XX. El destino diferente de los pensamientos de estos americanistas, asociados a la Escuela de Berlín, ilustra muy bien la polarización entre dos tendencias antropológicas —la sistémica y la particularista—, que caracteriza a la etnología hasta la fecha.Descargas
