Abstract

The present text deals on considerations about the media, and how these have been related, from a historical point of view, with sports and the Olympic Games. The document aims to contribute as a general theoretical framework around historical studies on sports-relat- ed mass media. In addition, it is proposed to give an account of some concepts to understand the relationship between mass media, sports entertainment, and the audience.
