Abstract
This edition of Rutas de Campo is located in the first year of the SARSCoV-2 virus pandemic. The emergence of the pandemic forces us to situate ourselves from a historical-social perspective, which allows us to define it as a multiple social phenomenon that demands the attention of the social sciences, and especially anthropology, whose analytical tools are necessary to understand the complexity of the phenomenon. Through the critical eye of anthropology, the emergence of the pandemic can be analyzed as a process that unmasks structural problems in today's society, such as the unequal distribution of well-being and access to health. These realities are addressed by the authors who participate in this series of two editions that Rutas de Campo dedicates to the COVID-19 pandemic.
