La teorización del arte contemporáneo se presenta a menudo como un fenómeno reciente y refractario al enfoque llamado “clásico”, inspirado en Brandi. Este artículo muestra que, por el contrario, desde Althöfer la teoría deBrandi sirvió de base para numerosos enfoques exploratorios, y que una relectura atenta de secciones completas de su obra, con frecuencia desatendidas, permite aclarar las intervenciones de conservación contemporáneas.
