Análisis morfogeométrico de cuatro caneaos antiguos del Valle de México: Peñón III, Metro Balderas, Chimalhuacán y Cueva del Tecolote

Resumen

En este artículo se presenta un análisis morfogeométrico de cinco cráneos del Holoceno Temprano del valle central de México. Los especímenes estudiados fueron: Peñón m, Metro Balderas, Chimalhuacán y Cueva del Tecolote. Los resultados demuestran una mayor afinidad entre estos cráneos tempranos de México con paleoamericanos de Brasil y otros restos del Pleistoceno tardío de Asia y África, que con series amerindias y mexicanas modernas. La gran dispersión geográfica de los paleoamei ¡canos y su presencia en México a comienzos del Holoceno arrojan nuevas interrogantes acerca del continente americano.
