Abstract
This article is based on testimonials collected in june 2020 among ten teachers —five men, five women— at the middle school and high school, who live and work in different parts of the national territory, in order to document their experiences —particularly of labor, but also personal— in the face of the development of the COVID-19 pandemic. The objective is to show that talking about a "new normal" to be established as outbreaks of the disease are controlled and the activities of the country's social life are gradually resumed, responds to a slanted view of the situation: normality, in fact, was fractured from the very moment in which the advent of the health emergency was announced.
