Abstract

This article aims to have an impact from the feminist discourse and practice to denounce the processes of violence experienced by all women, but especially women who are doubly or triply violated in Mexico, in this case, indigenous and poor women. This work intends to give voice to the experience of indigenous women and merchants of Xoxocotla about what it means for them to face the health emergency, in the midst of a scenario of great socio-cultural, economic, political, territorial and gender inequalities, which place them in a state of vulnerability in which they are systematically discriminated, racialized and violated. Ethnographic testimony is a valuable resource that allows us, in the context of the pandemic, to reflect on a phenomenon that particularly impacts indigenous women in Mexico.
