Programa de Búsqueda de Recursos de la Coordinación Nacional de Conservación del Patrimonio Cultural

Abstract

The search for resources is the result of a participatory, thoughtful, and inclusive process, inspired by the cross-curricular, representative, and decentralized dynamics that represent the spirit of the Coordinación Nacional de Conservación del Patrimonio Cultural (CNCPC). Emanating from the activities developed to search for financing as part of the initiatives of the Dirección de Gestión y Vinculación, the Resource Search Programme is proposed, which aims to facilitate access to finance projects that are technically and financially feasible, but that they do not have funds to execute them. There are three possible types of funding: federal resources from public, centralized, public, federal entities, civil society organizations; private resources limited to companies, civil organizations, philanthropists and foundations; and resources granted by international agencies. The result of the implementation of this Programme is reflected in the projects developed by the CNCPC, the “Project for the preservation of Pakal Tomb and architectural structures of El Palacio, in the archaeological site of Palenque, Chiapas” and the project named “Recovery after the earthquake of September 19, 2017. Exconvento de San Martín de Tours, Huaquechula” in Puebla, funded by the 2017 Ambassador's Fund for Cultural Preservation, promoted by the government of the United States of America.
