Curso internacional de conservación de papel en América Latina. Un encuentro con Oriente: una propuesta de reflexión, vinculación y difusión en tiempos de SARS-CoV-2

Abstract

In 2020, the 8th International Paper Conservation Course in Latin America. Meeting East, was planned to be carried out. It is organized every year by the Coordinación Nacional de Conservación del Patrimonio Cultural (CNCPC) in collaboration with the Tokyo National Research Institute for Cultural Properties (TNRICP) and the International Centre for Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM). However, the conditions derived from the SARS-CoV-2 virus pandemic led to the cancellation of the course in person, and thus, the CNCPC Graphic Documents Laboratory team is currently developing three lines of work around the topics developed at the course: 1) organization of an online seminar in which the participants of previous years join working groups to share experiences, reflect on the application and impact of the course content on their professional work and delve into aspects related to it, 2) publication in an electronic journal, CR. Conservación y Restauración, dedicated to the subjects of the program; and 3) the construction of a section on the CNCPC website dedicated to the course to promote its dissemination.
