In order to get closer to one of the first means of printed dissemination in the field of conservation in Mexico, this text will share information about the Boletín informativo Cedocla, specifically, its first issue, which is one of the copies kept in the Historical Archive of the Coordinación Nacional de Conservación del Patrimonio Cultural (CNCPC) of Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia (INAH), as part of a set of documents that reflect the development of that publication. In general terms, it also deals with aspects on the formation of the Latin American Regional Center, the mandate it received regarding publication and dissemination, as well as the importance of having a Regional Documentation Center; the contents presented in the bulletin, the people who participated in its design, the means of printing and distribution. Finally, an approach is made to the relevance of the Historical Archive as a source of research.
