About
Narrativas Antropológicas is published semiannually since 2020 and represents the effort of research professors from the Directorate of Ethnology and Social Anthropology at INAH to establish a high-quality scientific journal. Its mission is to widely disseminate the results of research conducted both within our institution, our country, and in other regions of the world. The journal seeks to provide a platform for all areas of knowledge related to ethnology, ethnography, and social anthropology. For this reason, it is open to both empirical and theoretical studies, as well as all types of narratives that reflect the everyday lives of individuals and their communities.
It strives to achieve a more humanistic ethnological perspective on the cultural and social realities that humans construct in their daily lives, focusing on descriptions that allow for understanding and, to some extent, interpreting the cultures through which various societies domesticate nature, shape their world, and relate to the divine.
The journal is primarily aimed at professionals in the fields of Ethnology and Social Anthropology, but some of its sections may also be of interest to the general public. Narrativas is indexed in Latindex and LatinRev. We accept non-thematic articles throughout the year and publish year-round. The long-term digital preservation of Narrativas Antropológicas is guaranteed in the institutional repository of the Mediateca of the National Institute of Anthropology and History.
