Aplicación y adaptación de materiales, herramientas y técnicas japonesas en Argentina, Colombia y Paraguay

Argentina, Colombia and Paraguay are countries that have conditions and realities, these are situations from which the institutions responsible for safeguarding the cultural heritage in each of them are not excluded.
After our participation in the Paper International Conservation Course in Latin America “a meet with east”- in its editions of 2016 and 2019 respectively. When we returned to our institutions, we have applied the knowledge and the techniques that we learned. Starting from the training to our working teams, the adequacy of spots (workshops and labs), the purchase of materials and specific inputs, etc.
We’ll present below some results that we have obtained with the implementation of this knowledge and the experiences with the Japanese and Latin American traditional restorations techniques, as well as the way to approach the work from the criteria and ethics of the restoration discipline
