Abstract

Arturo Rico's book Death and Resurrection of the Body, forces us to reflect on something apparently obvious in human beings: our own body. The author introduces us to the different readings of the body, both from the mythical constructions of various cultures, as well as from scientific developments and from different philosophical currents. With his reflections, the author forces us to accept that our body does not exist in solitude, that the existence of a body implies, at the same time, a relationship or distance with other bodies.
