Abstract

This review by Aäron Moszowski of the book Beyond Alterity: destabilizing the Indigenous Other in Mexico, beyond sticking to an account of the issues addressed in the book, suggests that the general argument underlying the book focuses on destabilizing the notions of otherness that define the indigenous being, showing that such argumentation is opposed to the ontological turn consolidated in recent decades in anthropology, which exalts the radical otherness of indigenous worlds.
