From the image to the word. A collaborative work from anthropology, photography and linguistics

Abstract

We present a sample of 20 selected photographs in which we observe an ethnographic snapshot of indigenous cultures, accompanied by a text in a native language appropriate to the theme of the photo. In the technical sheets, the reader can learn where the languages are spoken, the number of speakers, the risk of their disappearance, as well as read a fragment of cultural relevance about the original people that make up the diversity of Mexico.
