The articles in this issue of field notes, entitled Urban Culture of the twentieth century, have in common their exploration of ideas and practices over the past century came together to produce our current culture. His conception of historiography is dynamic: here the action of social subjects is seen as part of an ongoing process that does not stop at the immediate past or discards the fonts found in popular culture, including observation, orality, press , photography, architecture, film, literature and graffiti.
